Inger, a native of the Northwest, is a licensed acupuncture practitioner in the state of Washington and a nationally certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also a certified Chinese herbalist and an Acupuncture Detoxification Associate (treating substance abuse). Inger is a professional member of the Washington Acupuncture & Asian Medicine Association (WAAMA) and the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).

Inger’s clinic is located in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, at the intersection of Western Avenue and Cedar Street.  It includes two treatment rooms and an herbal pharmacy. In addition to her private practice, Inger provides acupuncture treatments to the residents of BayView Retirement Community. Inger has also volunteered her time on the Steering Committee of Alternative Healthcare Access Campaign (AHAC), a nonprofit organization that offers alternative healthcare for homeless and low-income people, and she has provided free acupuncture treatments to the homeless youth population at ROOTS Young Adult Shelter.

Inger is trained in acupuncture, Japanese meridian therapy, channel palpation, traditional Chinese medicine, Auricular therapy (ear acupuncture), scalp acupuncture, electrical stimulation (e-stim), Chinese herbal medicine, tui na (Chinese massage), qi gong (exercise), and Chinese medical language. She is proficient in reading Chinese medical journals and accesses those journals as necessary to enhance your treatment plan.

Inger received her Chinese medical training from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (SIOM), where she earned her master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2006. SIOM’s program is clinically based; students train for three years in a working clinic.

Inger was also trained as a classical ballet dancer with the San Francisco Ballet School and performed with the San Francisco Ballet company. Inger later moved back to the Northwest, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Social Science at Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon. She was employed with the Portland Community College, where she helped implement the school’s federally funded service learning program and worked directly with the faculty, students, and community members.
